Make More Stories Happen

We give grants to journalists to travel to, and produce stories about, how cities can work better for all their people. It’s what Neal Peirce spent a career doing, covering America by plane, train, foot, and bicycle to get the local color and textured understanding only made possible by “being there.”

Many journalists today don’t have this option. As struggling media organizations slash travel budgets, countless stories about innovative approaches to city housing, climate, transit, and other issues are going untold.
